First was told to sit anywhere. Then was told area we chose was closed. Music was very loud for 12:45pm. Ordered a beer and given something totally different: said menu wasn’t up to date and I should’ve used QR code but my phone was dead. Tots were too fried to be good, they were hard as rocks. I ordered a burger with bacon. Bacon did not come on the burger. 15$ BLT was dry and tasteless. Never was asked if food was okay, never asked for a second drink. Was told aggressively about no smoking/vaping on property in an open air environment - server forcing controlling/authoritative attitude during our time at the establishment. There were only two other tables of people at this place and now I know why. Avoid this place at all costs! Plenty of better options around.
Went during happy hour and honestly we got a pretty good deal on the food and drinks. We ordered gumbo rice, cauliflower, the fish sliders and Negroni and beer. My best favorite was the cauliflower and the slider. The rest was good too and the Negroni was kinda sweet.
One of the better menus for appetizer/small bites. They have a great tap list and great indoor/outdoor seating. To top it off, they have a great bourbon selection!
Great addition to the neighborhood. We went for dinner, it was busy and there was a scene outside even though like many Portland establishments it hasn't found a way to get strangers to talk to each other. From the same owners that started Saraveza on Killingsworth, This place knows what it's doing and the bar food theme this time is New Orleans.
We ordered the radicchio Caesar: it was pretty generous and tasted healthy. Could have used more anchovy and some more lemon so that the taste could have been a little deeper and more zingy. The fried green tomatoes on top were excellent.
We also ordered the catfish po boy and it was quite good. Not $6 from a gas station in New Orleans, but had the same kind of authentically crunchy flaky, fried catfish on the correct type of bread with shaved lettuce. Well done.
We also ordered the nut pesto and aioli mac and cheese which was very tasty. Quite a dense pasta and properly cheesy, although I would have liked it better if they had chosen a sharper cheese. They were generous with the pesto.
As always (We get this a lot here), the truly stand out dish here was the properly fried broccoli with a lime crema underneath. An excellent dish and very much worth it's price.
The disappointing dish was the buffalo wings: They were fried about half as long as it's necessary to have any kind of good crunch and proper texture, especially if you want that texture to endure being tossed in hot sauce. I also could barely taste any butter in the sauce.
I heard more than a year ago that they were going to turn the back bar formerly known as the tiny bubble room in the old establishment into some kind of sushi bar or something cool. It appears to still just be a storage space. I wish they could at least have a little bar back there that felt intimate and had a DJ or something time to time.
Amazing food and drinks and service. Their Happy Hour is definitely a great time to check this place out. Lots of outdoor covered seating with table service from wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, attentive folks. Bathrooms are cute and clean. Highly recommend the gumbo (comes with cornbread) and radicchio salad. Their cocktails are delicious and well crafted. They have frozen slushy cocktails for those got days. Can’t wait to go back for more of everything.
Happy hour hangs in a shipping container with seat warmers. Tried the gumbo and bacon cheddar corn dog bites. Not too shabby. I'd gladly stop in again for more happy.
Went out with some friends, had some good food and great drinks!
See pictures for details of what's what. Everyone gave 5 out of 5 on their meals! (Trying to add comments.)

Indoor lighting is low. Difficult to see menues we pulled out our phone flashlights.

Such a fun spot with lots of outdoor seating. Cocktails and appetizers were unique and delicious. Our waiter however was either having a really bad day, or just has a terrible attitude. He was impatient, flippant and kept directing us back to the QR code when we asked questions about the menu. I don’t know that I’ve ever been treated so poorly at a restaurant.
Hope whatever he was dealing with that day got better, or he looks for a job that doesn’t deal with people.
